Nanowrimo Week 1

Hey everyone,

This is a quick update in regards to my Nanowrimo progress. So far it has been 7 days and here are some raw stats in regards to my progress so far.

The Yearbook – A collection of short stories is 20% done.
The word count as of today is 10,624 out of 50,000 words.
A total of 2 out of 12 stories are completed.

Just in case you don’t know what Nanowrimo is and you are hearing about this for the first time, Nanowrimo is a challenge for all of Novemeber to write every day and by the end of November 30 have 50,000 words written.

As the week started, I found the idea of writting 12 stories and putting them all into one collection more daunting then I first believed when I started on Nov. 1st but 7 days later, I’m getting into the swing of it. Checking out all my notes and adding to them as I write is a thing I found to be key. I have fallen a bit behind in my daily goals but every day I’m putting in the work and catching up so that is good and this weekend I’m planning to blast through a couple of hours of writing and get caught up on where I should be.

I’ve been updating the website a bit, going to put some new icons and a new section where you can see all the things you might want to check out.

Oh and I have a mix of music I listen to, to power me through my writing and I’m planning *fingers crossed* to put up a mix of it sometime in november.

I will be updating you all next week so till then.

Don’t stop believing because this is where the story matters

  1. I thought of writing short stories because sometimes my ideas don’t seem to be strong enough to carry a whole novel, but I wasn’t sure of the NaNo rules. Hope it works out for you. Good luck!
